If you have not had a good experience when trying to access Adult ADHD services, we really encourage people to give feedback to the NHS as this really helps to send a message about service provision. Your local NHS will have a patient and liaison department that handles feedback and complaints that you can write to give feedback. We also highly recommend the NHS patient advocacy services that will take care of every aspect of writing and submitting a complaint. Although, the NICE guideline is not law, in our experience, complaints raised about not implementing the recommendations have been taken seriously and some had been given the option to be escalated to the health ombudsman.
