Npi Validation Check Digit Calculation

The following table explains the step by step NPI number validation process using the ISO standard Luhn algorithm.

Start with the original NPI number, the last digit is the check digit and is not used in the calculation.
1
Step 1: Double the value of the alternate digits, beginning with the rightmost digit.
2 0 18
Step 2: Add all the doubled and unaffected individual digits from step 1 plus the constant number 24.
2 + 2 + 1 + 4 + 5 + 0 + 3 + 4 + 0 + 1 + 8 + 24 = 54
Step 3: Subtract the total obtained in step 2 from the next higher number ending in zero, the result is the check digit.
60 – 54 = 6 6

The NPI number 1275032096 is valid because the calculated check digit 6 using the Luhn validation algorithm matches the last digit of the original NPI number.

What Our Parents Say

Piece by Piece is an amazing place with caring therapists. There were limited options for ABA therapy near Lebanon until Piece by Piece opened. They are a much-needed service to the area and have already impacted the lives of many children and their families, including mine. My son was only able to attend for 4 months before we moved too far away, but I saw much progress in the short time he was there.

Amy Stone

We cant recommend Piece by Piece enough We consider Piece by Piece one of the biggest answers to our prayers ever and recommend it highly to anyone looking for help with their child with autism.

Katrina Moody

This place is absolutely amazing. They are very well educated in what they do and do the job well. They care about the whole person and helping them become the best version of themselves. We feel like family and honestly, I dont know where we would be without them.

Piece By Piece Autism Center Puts Families First

Writer // Janelle Morrison Photography // Laura Arick

Families in Boone County who are looking for an Applied Behavior Analysis therapy clinic that is also a Medicaid Waiver Provider dont have to go outside of the county for services for their children.

Piece By Piece Autism Center, located in Lebanon, opened its doors earlier this year and is already expanding. Founded by Zionsville resident Meghann Mitchell, Piece By Piece is a locally family-owned and -operated clinic that believes in empowering parents and helping children reach their full potential using evidence-based practices in ABA.

ABA therapy is an individualized, intensive one-to-one therapy that is used to develop various skills and overcome deficits, as well as to teach socially significant behaviors. Piece By Piece also offers behavior consultation to help facilitate treatment and to meet with families on a regular basis to discuss their childs progress and any problems they are experiencing at home or in the community.

Mitchells path to where she is today is a convoluted tale with many fateful twists and turns that eventually led Mitchell and her husband, Luke, to moving to Zionsville and opening her first location in Lebanon. Mitchell received her bachelors degree in business administration while on a gymnastics scholarship at Missouri-Columbia and earned her masters degree in ABA from Ball State University.

ABA therapy utilizes behavioral principles to set goals, reinforce behaviors, and measure outcomes. Goals are measured and progress is reported so treatment can be adjusted for better results.

Goals and progress will be shared with you along the way as your child grows and develops. Below are some examples of therapy methods:
