Rampage Not The Movie Or Video Game
First of all, this is not a post telling those who have donethis to get out or they have ruined this wiki, especially sincethis is far from being ruined.
What I want to know is, what is it about a Wikia user that makes them act like the Energizer Bunny, theykeep going, and going, and going, and going, and going, and going, and going?! This is what I like to call going on a rampage. To me,that’s a crime! For constant editing on this or any other Wikiunless it is just starting out usually floods up the recent changespage, causing us to use the search box to get to the pages we wantto see. I’ve said this time and time again. This is not a plea tostop nor leave; this is a plea to slow down; you know, take beatbefore e
Yes, you heard right. And you wonder why you don’t hear me doit.
Simple…do you really want me ruining anyone’s holidayseason around here?! I certainly don’t.

Early Profession And Career
James started his professional career as the professional gambler since 2014 by competing in the show The Chase. He came into the limelight after competing in Jeopardy in April 2019. While playing with him, he broke the single-game record winning the vast amount of $110,914. After that, he again broke his single game-winning record with the winning amount of $131,127 where he secured his 10th straight victory on the show.
Besides that, he also holds with a record of 74 straight wins bagging the huge amount of $2,250,700. After that, he was placed in the second on the shows all-time winning list with a total amount of just under $700,000.
Why Jeopardy James Is Winning
As James Holzhauer continues his winning streak, here are five reasons why he has a leg up on the competition:
1. Seeking Daily Doubles: Holzhauer has found 26 of the 33 Daily Doubles available in the first two rounds, answering correctly on 24 of them. His average wager on Daily Doubles is $9,993, nearly four times Jennings’ Daily Double average bet.
2. Risk tolerance: Holzhauer is a pro bettor, so he has a higher tolerance for risk. “I’m used to gambling,” he told Vulture.com. “To me, these are just points on the scoreboard and not actual dollars.”
3. Buzzer beater: To perfect his timing with the buzzer, he read an e-book, which emphasized focusing on the lights on the side of the board that light up when the buzzers have been activated, rather than attempting to anticipate when Alex Trebek will finish reading the question.
4. Practice makes perfect: A tennis-shoes-and-jeans guy, Holzhauer practiced by watching “Jeopardy!” episodes in dress shoes to prepare him for the real thing.
5. Easing the nerves: To combat nerves, Holzhauer snapped his fingers three times and visualized going down an ice slide with his daughter in the snow any time he got overwhelmed on stage.
Holzhauer cracked a small grin as his winnings grew to $71,800. Contestant Sameer Rai, a freelancer from Los Angeles, twisted his head and shoulders to his right and leaned back slightly, looking down the podium at Holzhauer as if to ask, “Who is this guy?” Rai clapped and nodded, acknowledging greatness.

How Many Gifts ”are” There Really In The 12 Days Of Christmas
About 14 years ago I watched an episode of Millionairewhere I saw a contestant get a question about how many gifts therewere in the song about the 12 Days of Christmas. He guessed 78, asdid I, but both of us were shocked to find out it was 364.
You’re wondering how we both guessed 78: Simple, the first linein each verse .
Now, the question is: how in the world was it 364, and where didwe go wrong? Comment below. Gameshowguy2000 04:28, December21, 2018
Holzhauer Honored His Daughter On The Show
According to Heavy, Holzhauer and his wife have a daughter, who is nicknamed “Booger,” which must certainly have a great story behind it. That’s what Holzhauer called her as he wished her a happy birthday during that record-smashing episode of Jeopardy! where he left poor Roger Craig’s record looking all sad and pathetic on the tape reels of Jeopardy! past. And that final earnings number of $110,914? That’s Holzhauer’s daughter’s birthday: November 9, 2014.
So first imagine how that would make you feel if you were 4 and could actually comprehend huge numbers and you didn’t mind your nickname going out on national television. Now also imagine the mental capacity it takes to be on a high-pressure quiz show with thousands of dollars at stake and yet still have the wherewithal to do those kinds of calculations in your head so you’ll know exactly how much to bet in order for your daughter’s birthdate to appear in the dollar figure amount of your final winnings? Yeah, all right, that dude must have cheated.

He Has A History Of Appearing On Game Shows Including A Dominant Performance On The Chase In 2014
Jeopardy! isnt the first game show that James Holzhauer has dominated. In 2014, Holzhauer appeared on The Chase, the American version of a British game show that aired for four seasons on the Game Show Network.
According to the Game Show Network, In US version of THE CHASE, a team of three contestants attempts to amass as much money as possible by answering quick-fire questions in their individual 60-second rounds. Contestants will then face off against the Beast in their individual Chaser rounds. If successful, the money earned will go towards a team bank. If theyre caught, theyre out of the game. Contestants who make it through, will face off as a team against the Beast in a final chase.
You can watch his appearance on The Chase above. On Twitter, Mark Labbett, aka the Beast, said when asked who the toughest competitor he is has ever faced is, toss up between him and James Holzhauer, both world class and that is not hyperbole.
He told the Naperville Sun that his appearance on The Chase set him up for Jeopardy success. I think being on The Chase made me better prepared for the pressure of the cameras and lights, and it boosted my confidence going in to Jeopardy! since I knew I was capable of winning on a big stage, he told the newspaper.
Holzhauer also appeared on the short-lived game show 500 Questions in 2015, and could not unseat trivia master Steve Bahnaman.
Why Is Mike Richards Still Hosting ‘jeopardy’
Who? What? Where? Why? When? Finally, long-running Jeopardy!;champ Matt Amodio has given us the method behind his answering madness. The contestant came under fire for his bizarre technique early on in his winning streak, and the nagging from;Jeopardy!;fans has continued throughout his stint on the show. But in a recent interview for his current school, Yale University, Amodio clarified that its all part of his strategy.
The controversy began a few weeks ago when Amodio first took the stage. When an answer is a person, instead of using the word Who, Amodio instead uses What. For example: when the answer to a question was Anna Faris, instead of answering Who is Faris? Amodio instead chose the words Whats Faris?, sparking backlash online for incorrect grammar.
Is Matt the most annoying contestant ever? one Twitter user wrote when Amodio first started gaining traction. Is it so hard to say who is? or make it a true daily double?
Fans can rag on Amodio all they want; but after a risky Daily Double and three weeks in the game, hes now on the;Jeopardy!;leaderboard for fourth-highest winnings in regular-season play. The;Jeopardy!;overlords also clarified the rules, thanks to all the controversy surrounding Amodio: Jeopardy! doesnt require that the response is grammatically correct, they clarified in a statement. So, Matt Amodios no-frills approach is unique but well with guidelines.
Jeopardy;airs weeknights on ABC at 7/6c.

The positions of the have become more complex since their decision to embrace in 2014, which are described by those within the industry as “almost identical to a casino” in nature. With the contention by critics that such activities blur the lines between gambling and fantasy sports, the endorsement of all four major sports leagues and many individual franchises provided a marked contrast to their positions on betting.

James Holzhauer Was Told To Smile To Get On Jeopardy Hes Smiling Now
- May 7, 2019
James Holzhauer had been taking the online tryout for Jeopardy! for about six years before he was finally asked to audition in person.
Determined to reach the Jeopardy! stage, Holzhauer solicited tips in an online poker forum: What could he do to get a spot on the show?
The number one piece of advice he got was just, Smile, look like youre having a good time, said Ben Yu, a longtime friend and fellow professional gambler. Yu imagined Holzhauer thinking: I am going to do whatever it takes. I am going to smile as forcefully as I can to make sure these producers put me on.
The country has seen a lot of that strained toothy smile over the past month, but these days, Holzhauer, 34, doesnt need to put on a happy face to prove he belongs on Jeopardy! Since early April, he has been raking in cash at a faster rate than any other contestant in the shows history, making $1.7 million so far.
He holds the top 12 spots for the shows highest single-game winnings. His winning streak, now at 22 games, has fueled speculation that he could surpass the reigning all-time Jeopardy! champ Ken Jennings, who won $2.5 million over 74 episodes in 2004.
Hes also remarkably open to giving interviews, to journalists from mainstream news organizations, niche sports betting websites and everything in between. Modest in dress, spare with his words on camera and dispassionate each time he breaks records, he is the anti-Kardashian of TV stars.

Holzhauer Said He Had A Goal Of Breaking Craigs Record &i Did It
James Holzhauer said in a statement, I said all along that I wanted to break Roger Craigs one-game record and I did it. The Illinois native raced out to an early lead during the April 9 show and then shocked the audience by going all in on the first Daily Double in the Double Jeopardy round. He got the correct answer and doubled his score to $29,200. Later in the same round, he bet $25,000 on the second Daily Double and again was correct. Holzhauer entered Final Jeopardy with a total of $72,600. He wagered $38,314, and finished with the record-breaking total of $110,914. Holzhauer won the game by more than $98,000.
Holzhauer told the Naperville Sun, My big secret for studying subjects I find uninteresting is to check out the childrens section of the library. The books there are filled with pictures and fun facts, and theyre a great way to learn the nuts and bolts of any subject. I have a reputation for only pursuing things I enjoy, but working very hard to be the best at those. Thus I could go to the national finals in MATHCOUNTS in junior high while earning a C in my math class for refusing to do homework.
Holzhauer used big bets on Daily Doubles to build dominant leads heading into Final Jeopardy during all three of his games. On the April 8 show, Holzhauer fell behind early, but then went all in on a Daily Double during the Double Jeopardy round while tied at $10,000 and never looked back.

Opinion: Mike Bloomberg Is The James Holzhauer Of Primaries
Former New York mayor Mike Bloomberg is doing to the primary process what James Holzhauer did to Jeopardy! change how the game is played.;Mr.;Holzhauer began games by choosing questions at the bottom of the Jeopardy! board, going after big dollars and Daily Doubles.;This unsettled competitors who preferred starting at the top of the categories;with easier responses . Even Ken Jennings, who defeated Mr. Holzhauer in the recent Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time competition, had to adopt many of Mr. Holzhauers tactics to beat him.
His Original Goal Was To Beat Roger Craig’s One
It’s good to set goals, but for most of us, it’s not really the best idea to set super-lofty goals such as “I’m going to bust through the Jeopardy! cash record in one-third the time it took the first guy to do it.” Because lofty goals can sometimes kill your motivation, especially once it becomes clear that it’s going to be a long and dangerous haul to get there.
Even the great James Holzhauer knows that. So for his time on Jeopardy! he gave himself a modest goal to break the one-game record of $77,000, set in 2010 by Roger Craig. And according to Deadspin, that’s exactly what he did in his fourth game. But he didn’t break it by just a little bit he exploded the danged thing and took home $110,914.
Holzhauer later told Vulture that the former record holder reached out to offer congratulations. “He was really gracious,” Holzhauer said. “He congratulated me and offered some advice about the media frenzy that he knew was coming for me. I wasn’t ready for it, but he helped me prepare.” Which is good, because the media attention pretty much hasn’t slowed down at all since that day.
